About Cutmora

A fast, free and private way to remove image backgrounds.

What we do

Cutmora removes the background from your photos automatically. Upload an image, and in seconds you get a clean cut-out you can keep transparent or place on a new background — at full resolution, with no watermark and no account.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your photos to their servers. Cutmora works differently: the AI model is sent to your browser and runs on your own device. Your images are never uploaded, never stored and never used to train AI. When you close the tab, they are gone.

The only thing we count is how many images are processed and downloaded in total — a number, with nothing attached to it.

The technology

Background removal is powered by BiRefNet, an open-source AI model for high-resolution image segmentation, released under the MIT licence by Peng Zheng and colleagues. It runs in your browser through ONNX Runtime Web, using your graphics chip when available.

Who it's for

Online sellers, designers, marketers, photographers, students — anyone who needs a clean cut-out without opening a photo editor.
